– Somos –
Text accompanying the painting:
The Face of the World.
Many differences can lead to direct or indirect discrimination (social, professional, educational, etc.), which any one of us may experience. No one is immune.
This painting is a reminder of an obvious truth.
These differences are beautiful. They create the harmony and richness of the world.

Knowing the different grounds of discrimination helps us avoid perpetuating them ourselves:
Origin, sex, family situation, pregnancy, physical appearance, particular vulnerability related to economic circumstances, name, place of residence, health status, loss of autonomy, disability, genetic characteristics, lifestyle, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, political opinions, trade union activities, whistleblower status, status as a whistleblower facilitator or as a person connected with a whistleblower, spoken language, ethnicity, nationality, perceived race, and religion.
“Somos” means “we are” in Spanish.

– Percepción –
Text accompanying the painting:
Through society, human beings have created their own “imaginary mountains” around differences. According to Dolores, they have also created a concept: “success,” which would be the ultimate goal of this conventional journey through life. As if every individual had to “climb the steps” in order to be worth more.
The starting point and the destination are simply different, just as we are all different.

As a famous meditation saying goes: “There is nothing to achieve, nothing to attain.”
Dolores simply encourages you to “be.”
Be in harmony with your core values and do your best with the abilities you have and the resources you can find. Life will take care of the rest.
Difference is far from being insurmountable; it simply “is.” Accepting it will allow you to experience the treasures of life.
“Percepción” means “perception” in Spanish.

– Todos –
Text accompanying the painting:
Every individual has the right to have their place in society.
Thus, every human being is responsible for their own inclusion and for the inclusion of others.
For this to work, it is necessary to make the effort to claim one’s place. This is far from easy, which is why it is so important to ensure that every vulnerable person is given a place.

Dolores encourages victims of discrimination to talk about it with someone they trust and with professionals. It is important not to remain in this situation and to take action.
“Todos” means “everyone” or “all” in Spanish.

For Cécile
– Vivir –
Text accompanying the painting:
This work was created for Cécile, a psychologist and family therapist who has faith in human nature. She bases her work on this value.
Thus, this painting represents the best team to support a person with a disability: their family in the broadest sense, together with appropriate healthcare professionals. It pays tribute to the invaluable work of educators, therapists, and caregivers, who are fully integrated into the family.

This painting also illustrates family therapy. It refers to the concept of family competence:
“Every family has, in its own way, the resources to find its own solutions.”
The characters have one thing in common: the flower “pansy,” a symbol of suffering in Dolores’s artistic universe. This detail highlights their shared history and the complexity of their relationships. They are both dependent on one another and inseparable from their environment, constantly evolving.
The title of this work remains the essential message: To Live.
Ultimately, the purpose of therapy is to be able to start, or start living again.
Dolores hopes that those who see themselves in this work will not wait until they are “well” to start living, and will nurture their hope. She encourages them to listen to themselves, fulfill their potential, and thrive from this moment onward.
“Vivir” means “to live” in Spanish.

For Camille
– Siempre –
Text accompanying the painting:
This painting is a testament to the love and support of Camille’s family and all those close to her. It represents the journey through life that she has traveled. An ascent that can, depending on the circumstances, be difficult, painful, and perilous, but which she climbs every day with strength, courage, and determination.
She cannot begin to imagine how deeply her loved ones care for her. What she also does not know is that she is already above all these mountains, which do not define her. She has always radiated through her beauty, her energy, and her personality.

Distance may keep them apart, but support brings them together. Together, every day and always, they continue along this journey through life — a journey that is certainly filled with challenges, but also with so much love, kindness, friendship, and joy.
They hope that whenever Camille looks at this painting, she will be able to feel their support and the love they have always held for her.
“Siempre” means “always” in Spanish.

For Romain
– Félicité –
Text accompanying the painting:
With a genuine passion for history, Romain creates his own empire. Fascinated by Napoleon Bonaparte, he draws inspiration from his strategies. In the painting, Romain’s silhouette emerges against the landscape of the Battle of Austerlitz. This reference is accompanied by flowers, pansies, expressing the hardships he has overcome. It is important to remember them for the future.
Today, Romain celebrates a victory: the creation of his company. Thus, the laurel wreath, a symbol of glory, adorns the abundant sun. In a way, this represents Romain’s own coronation.

Dolores chose to create this work to remind Romain that he has all the intellectual qualities, skills, and ambition he needs to shine in his career. She hopes that, whenever he looks at this painting, he will remember to prioritize his happiness, joy, and well-being every day. Fulfillment will follow.
Romain is fully aware of and grateful for all the people who have crossed his path. He cherishes his relationships, which are essential to his fulfillment. It was therefore only natural to represent them across the entire canvas through the dots, Dolores’s symbol for “connections.”

For Anna
To remind yourself to keep moving forward, whatever happens.
– Cada día –
Text accompanying the painting:
Every day, Dolores promises herself to choose the path of life. This painting depicts her favorite place in Parc de la Tête d’Or in Lyon. For dozens of months, she went there every day to work on her proprioception disorder on these rocks. Even today, every walk brings her back to this symbolic and peaceful place. It represents her perseverance, resilience, and hope.
Nature is a source of peace and inspiration. Dolores will never forget that, whatever happens, she will overcome it.
“Cada día” means “every day” in Spanish.
